I’ll be living out of this bag for a couple of days. (My pack is rattier in person since it’s been with me for several years. I got it when Columbia folks invited us to climb Mt. Daguldol. It’s been my go-to travel pack ever since.) Here we go! The event: The Cebu Pacific Kota Kinabalu Backpacker Challenge The place: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia (obviously) The date: September 19-23 The Twitter hashtag: #CEBKKBackpacker The budget: MYR 1,000 The challenge: Do as many things as we can in three days on as little as possible. The teams: There are five teams of two. All I know is that I’m with Charles of When In Manila. I call her “dear leader” because she’s the decider and I’m just along for the ride.
